Accurately
fill Large Containers
(System
1)
|
When
it comes to filling large containers, gaylords, or containers
that require long fill times, acceptable levels of accuracy
are often difficult to achieve. Cycle-count systems can
easily come up short due to bad shots or machine interruption
and Weigh-scale systems tend to lose accuracy as the size
of the load increases. This system was designed to automatically
fill two very large gaylords using a very accurate Weigh-scale
hopper and a flip-flop diverter.

| Weigh-scale
Hopper quickly and accurately fills large containers |
|
|
The
Crizaf Weigh-scale Hopper weighs parts in small,
extremely
accurate batches. Batches are filled into the container
until the total part count is met. The high sensitivity
of this system allows it to detect parts as small as
0.5 grams. To allow the system to run as quickly
as
possible, the Weigh-scale Hopper fills parts at maximum
speed until the very last batch is being filled. |
How
does this system work?
|
|
|
Parts
are fed up and into a weigh-scale hopper. When the hopper
is full, the controller determines the number of parts
in the batch by dividing the weight of the batch by
the average part weight. The number of parts is then
deducted from the total number of parts to be filled
into the container.
The
hopper then empties into a diverter which fills into
one of two containers positioned below. The cycle repeats
until the final batch is to be filled. When the last
few parts are about to be filled, the conveyor slows
to allow them to dribble in. This assures accuracy and
avoids overfilling the container. |

No
need to worry if your application requires unique processing
- Crizaf engineered systems can almost always be integrated
with speciality equipment from other manufacturers. |
